Très joyeuse de ce nouveau projet - la correspondance - entre ma peinture abstraite et la céramique que j'ai commencée cette année dans l'atelier de Florence Bruyas à Saint-Étienne ! Merci à Florence Bruyas - Céramiste plasticienne (florence-bruyas.fr) de son accompagnement et de sa joie de création qu'elle partage sans cesse ! J'ai hâte !

Participation in a collective exhibition

Two of Jelena's paintings have been selected to be exhibited in the collective exhibition Transition Dreams at Galerie Giardi as part of The Biennale Internationale Design Saint-Étienne 2022

SOLO EXHIBITION
17 June – 3 September 2022 // Saint-Etienne, France

OPENING NIGHT 17 JUNE 2022

Jelena's first solo exhibition in Saint-Etienne in the very alternative spot - the hair salon La Blonde aux cheveux noirs, which regularly exhibits local artists. Jelena will present her paintings created during her recent stay in Ireland.

Participation in a workshop 

ABSTRACT PAINTING WITH NUALA CLARKE
May 2022 // Ballycastle, Ireland

In May 2022, Jelena participated in a workshop on abstract painting organized by The Ballinglen Arts Foundation and led by Irish visual artist Nuala Clarke. The wild Irish landscape was very inspiring for Jelena. She will present the paintings created during her stay in Ireland very soon in Saint-Etienne.

Participation in a collective charitable exhibition CLAF
Chapala Lake Art Festival // December 2021 // Mexico

 POSTPONED TO 2022 

CLAF is a space for emerging and established artists alike to make an impact. The heart of the festival is for art to change lives. La Ola (The Wave) is nonprofit organization which provides shelter, love, guidance, and education in a family environment to girls in need. For 2021, CLAF will support La Ola, so as to build a new house and school for up to 100 girls. Its construction started in 2020, has been compromised by the current pandemia and international economic shutdown.
